after finding that my distributor went bad, i decided to go brand new with Toyota. i ended up paying $222 at a dealership. it's expensive, but it should last a long time.

are there any procedures to prep the dizzy before installing it? like lubrication or anything? i just don't want to damage anything again.

Was that just for the cap and rotor?? Seems a little steep. There is also a gasket in there.... hope you got that too. I remember when I was looking at dizzys... they were about $60 for Toyota parts....

no, not for the cap and rotor. it was for the dizzy itself.


but again, are there any procedures that need to be considered before installing the new dizzy?

Just put some oil on the oring, shaft and hole. Make sure the hole is clean first.
