New grill installed! What do you think?

Got some wire mesh from home depot. Cut it to shape. Painted it with a smoke color paint. Applied 3 coats of acrylic clear. taped off the edges of the bumper to avoid scratching the paint. put it on by getting black wire and twisting it from behind. Only put the black wire on...on the edges...thats about it! Thanks!

the key word here is REALLY. I was tired of non-reflective criss-cross top and bar'ed bottom..so i made one to match the headlights. But thanks for the input.

It would look better with the stock grill removed.

why do you think it would look better? HOW would it look better>

2 Reasons. It would improve the cool air flow to your engine and it would look give the car a more complete look.

To be honest, it looks untidy and rushed as it sits now. Of course, this is just my opinion so make what you want of it.

But the Canadian is usually sarcastic and argumentative anyway so I wouldn't worry about it.

? i wasnt being sarcastic. I rather improve the overall look...so I might take the top one off and redo it or maybe both off. I dunno. It depends what people think. I know, "to each his own." but I rather have some input even if it is bad. But if someone says something bad..i mean i have to try and explain myself. I cant be like OK. I'm not worried.

yeah i hate the stock bottom grill, anything is an improvement, but matching is 10x better.

I like how the lower porton of the grill matches the upper portion...

Did you intend to have the S emblem covered?

i unno...just trying it out..i just want to get some opinions. I might just paint it even more gloss black. And take the S and put it on the front? no idea..

If you could get the 'S' emblem over top of your new grill I think it would look much more appealing ... that's just me though it's your car my friend.

I have a Metalic Gray, so Black would look AWESOME!!!

This sort of thing is a pretty regular, but awesome homemade mod.

The truck forum calls this addition a 'Satoshi' grill mod. If you doubt me, search 'Satoshi' under titles.

A few of the threads actually gives a great idea on how you might improve the grill you created. Grats on making the leap to mod your car!
