Hey guys, I’m thinking of buying an extra key to have it cut and programmed, as the car only came with one when I bought it. The question is: how does one go about programming a new key properly? I know I can have it cut almost anywhere, but having it programmed to lock, unlock, and pop the trunk is what I’d like to know. I found one here, and noticed my existing key has an ‘H’ engraved into it.

I programmed my G key using Techstream. It's a pretty straightforward process. There are a few YouTube videos around that show how it's done too. You'll likely need to get the transponder chip programmed to the immobilizer as well which you can also utilize Techstream for.

I just found a YouTube video from Tom’s key on how to program one, so I ordered a new key and their programmer to have it set up myself. Way cheaper than having to go to the dealer!
