...i just found this site and its loaded with great info!!! anyone here from NYC??? Its a great car...economical..nice trunk/folding rear seat...starts everytime!!!...need to replace the t-belt and seals[leaking really bad!!!]...what is the going rate to replace these parts?? anyone in Queens want to repair it reasonably??

while doing the timing belt get the water pump replaced also... may be 250$ for parts + labor at a shop..

yeah, you can probably expect $400-$500 total for the job. or do like I did and find a $30/hr back alley mechanic who only does mechanical work (no computer diag crap). it'll save you a couple hundred, anyway.

timing belts aren't hard!

get a manual and be a do-it-yourselfer!
