Mine: Got an '86 MR2 about two years ago. Gettin' N/A '91 next week !

Mods: If an APC steering wheel and a home made shift knob counts for mods, that's what I got. Other wise don't laugh cause I'm savin' my "lunch money" for a 3sgte !!!!!!!

How about this. Keep the '86 MR2... take that money you were going to use to buy the '91... sell your 4age.... and drop a 3sgte into your '86

Oh.... BTW... just buy a turbo... it will be less of a headache down the run.... I know from first hand experience.

Just so you know, the '91 is $750.00 in good condition. It's a friend of mine's, he thinks it's cursed, he just wants to get rid of it.

Please expand on the turbo only mod. My goal is 300 - 350whp and I would love to hear a wiser turners advice.

^^welcome to TN...russell is just trying to say that u should just buy a turbo mr2 in the first place and not worry about any issues that arise with doing the swap.....

Oh, thanks. I can't pass up the '91 though, it's such a good deal. I've always wanted one. I plan to drive around with the 5sfe or 3sfe ( which ever it comes with ) for a year or so while I do a build up on the 3sgte. What problems are expected when doing a swap? Or is it just the fact that you're going to have some and you never know what they might be?
