My name is Digger. I am 48 yrs old and have never paid a professional to fix a vehicle for me. My daily driver is a '90 SR5. This car was given to me by a lady who was happy to have it towed from her driveway. Towed by my pickup and a strap. One battery, a timing belt, a tube of RTV silicone, and some persuasion to a unstick a brake caliper and I have a reliable commuter that gets 30-34 mpg. It's beauty lies hidden beneath it's crooked, dented and faded exterior. I have been driving this car daily for over 2 yrs now with few problems. None of which required much thought or difficulty (or money) to fix. I now find myself thinking very hard about a problem the car developed this winter. That is why I sought out this site. A Toyota forum with a lot of activity. I'm looking forward to sharing insight with other members.
