Good day to all!. New member here.
Just wanting to get some general information on what I should expect from a 3" lift. My criteria:
*Thinking I want it to be suspension lift, so as the get the extra travel, not just the extra ground clearance, or, is the diff drop just as good?
*285/70/17 tires. What backspacing do I need to avoid rubbing?
*What type of issues can I expect with this combo? I have read about a shuddering at low speeds during acceleration, definitly would like to avoid this at all costs. Also, will the braking suffer noticably with the larger, heavier tires?
*Clearance issues. What am I looking at for clearance issues? Will I need to shave the wheel/fender wells?
*Cost. What should I expect to spend on the lift kit only, minus the wheels/tires?
*MPG. Perhaps I should not be asking this in the same thread, but what type of MPG should I expect, currently I average about 16-17.
*Reccomendations on lift kits/brands. I am happy with the current ride, not too stiff, not too soft, so I wouldn't mind keeping it similar.
That's all I can think of for now. Thanks,
Jeff
