I'm new to the forum--live in Alabama. I have a 2000 Toyota Tacoma (TACO)... It's been a great truck... I just have a problem that I need help with. I posted a new topic in the Tacoma section hoping someone can help. No luck so far.

Anyway, I've had Toyota's for years--my first new car was a 1974 Celica GT--loved that car. I bought my wife a Corona in 76--that was a great car too! Lot's of Toyotas over the years and now have the TACO.

Hope to get some help here... I bought the TACO used and have no manuals or anything. I've downloaded several .pdf files but nothing that helps with my current issue.

The key is stuck in ACC position, UNLESS I disconnect the battery. Must be some kind of Park/Neutral selenoid that is stuck closed; but, I can't find any info :(

Hmm? Interesting problem. Have you tried just jiggling the steering wheel while turning the key?
Anyway, I hope the guys in the Taco forum can help.
Welcome to the forum.
Welcome to the forums! :hi:

It's great to have such a loyal Toyota owner with us :). Sorry to hear about the problem you're experiencing. I hope someone in the Tacoma forum is able to help. Fingers crossed that it turns out to be something simple.

Good luck! :chug:
:welcome: to the Nation!

The older Taco's are great little trucks, I miss my fiancee's 99'! Hopefully you can get your issue resolved and enjoy the truck!

Thank-you all for the warm welcome--so far no replies my problem. I'm pretty sure it's the Park solenoid--I took it in for repair this morning... So, I have my wallet ready
