Hey Everyone I'm a toyota Owner looking to buy myself into the Scion category but have a concern.

I'm looking to buy a private to private 2006 Scion WT-I Tc Manuel from someone with approx. ~39,400 Miles on it already. she says moving away because family is in military and moving because her hubby was stationed in Iraq and going to Puerto Rico but army will let her only move one car there so trying to sell this one quick going for $11,500.00 . Which I don't think is a bad deal buuut here's the thing. There is a Failed Emissions test on their VIN record
only a year after the person bought it. They are a second owners of the Car. but I'm now wary.

What do you guys think? Back out or go with it? It really strange that a Car this new would Fail a emissions inspection only a year after but i don't know if its due to them just riding it really hard and throwing on 25,000 + in a single year or maybe a deeper problem??

Help! i don't want to buy a bogus car!

Could be something simple like a sensor or something bigger like a convertor. Looks like it was fixed and passed so I'd say go with it.
Hmmm, I say go for it but have it thoroughly checked out first.
doesn't sound terrible to me ... probably just a failed sensor or something.
