last week me and the wife traded our 06 sonata for a used 05 4runner sport. we fell in love with this truck. well today she was driving it to work and a rock hit the passenger rear door right below the handle. my question is has anyone used toyota touch-up paint? is it worth the money or is it better just take it to a body shop. it's a deep gouge all the way to the metal. any info will be appreciated.

sorry to hear about your misfortune with the rock. Touch up paint is a pain to deal with. If you want it to look perfect, you might just take it to a body shop and they are able to blend the paint back to the way it was or close enough. When I got my first ding/chip, I called it character. :)

4 year old truck.....touch up paint and get back in and keep driving the wheels off of it!!!!

my first was when my 4runner was only 2 weeks old.....
a deer charging right toward me at 2am.....
i swerved and he bounced all the down the right side of the truck.....
the next morning, i pulled deer hairs out or the fender flares and had to replace the chrome rear quarter bumper that he smashed in....but there are still a couple of dents down low that are still there after 9 years!!!! no one knows they are there but me!!!!

by the way, since i only broadsided the deer, he actually got back up and kept running!!!
