New Tacoma on its way

So, as many of you read a few weeks ago, my 2007 Tacoma Double cab was stolen. It was a base model 4x4 double cab in black that I was truly attached too.

Last week my insurance company came through and I was free to go and order another truck. I worked with my local dealership and got a great deal on a 2008 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 TRD in all black. I managed to pay only 1000 more than I paid for my origional truck which kept my payments almost exactly the same.

I will post pictures when I pick it up tommorrow. I also ordered the side step bars and the bed mat to go with it.

So I picked up my truck and everything went fantastic. Guelph Toyota treated me great and I felt the way you should when you are buying a new truck. Like I said, I will miss my last truck, but the new one is just so darn pretty and I don't even have to do the intermitted wiper mod again

So Guelph, overall how was your experience dealing with the insurance company? Anything we can learn?

Good news, and to get a newer version with TRD (sport or offroad?) too... You gonna get a remote start too? Might lower your insurance.

Enjoy the upgrades! Think you'll become a bit more attached to the seats, and probably the compass/etc. if you hadn't had it already. And fog lights (did you have any?). Fog lights are nice.

I am in love with all the TRD gadgets already. ahh, already pissing my girldfriend off with the radio controls on the steering wheel

Nice truck! Black was my 4th choice. Some love it and some hate it, i'm in between.

I love black. It looks great. I would just never own it as its to much upkeep. And since the dealer destroyed that paint on my black SE-R I cringe when I think of buying another one.

Nice truck. I want a Sport Hoodscoop, bad.

He got a sport. Remote start doesn't lower your insurance, anti-theft security systems do. He didn't have fogs before.

Yeah, when I went truck shopping, the options here in Canada are a little different. If I want a double cap 4x4, I have 3 options.

Base
SR5
TRD Sport with towing package

You can't get the offroad in a double cab and you have to get the towing package (which is fine with me)

If I wanted to get the offroad (which would have been nice because I would have liked the locking diff instead of the LSD) I would have had to get an access cab. I think it essentialy combines the US TRD Sport Package #1,#2, and #3.

The truck lists for $43250.75 with Ontario Taxes (13%) and I paid $36,900 for it which wasn't to bad.
