There could also be a difference in options. It would be go to compare MSRP for each car too. Doesn't mater about taxes and fees as nothing can be done about those differences depending on where you live.

A got scam by Candiac Toyota in Quebec, Canada!!!
Always read every detail on sales contract wend you by and take possesion of the car!!!!
Cadiac Toyota have change option and pirce don't match on boths sales contract!!!
8 month later director of Candiac Toyota call me to insult me and disrespect me!!!
I made a complain to Toyota Canada, that have done nothing at all!!!
1 year later, Toyota Canada have not contact me or make any investigation at all!!!

20K cash out the door for my new 2015 S Plus CVT on Dec 7, 2014. Still in honeymoon phase. Although occasionally, I long for the 6MT.

Don't do it, you can do better.

Visit www.truecar.com and enter your vehicle you're shopping for to see both local and national averages for what people actually pay.

I did well, with effort. I paid about $16,500 for my 2016 S Special Edition with sunroof/mud flaps/all weather mats, etc. after taxes, fees, delivery (from Maine to NY) the total was $20,250. That was agreed upon before financing or down payment was even discussed.

The best way to negotiate is to tell them "let's assume I am paying cash". Once you are happy with the cash price you work down to, THEN you can bring in financing options and down payment size etc.

After I got the cash price said above, I decided to finance through my local credit union at 1.9% which is great for a 20 year old with a budding but excellent credit history. I put 7 grand down. Make me happy and certainly made the dealership happy that they got all their money up front and didn't have to finance me. I also chose the Toyota $1,000 rebate instead of the 0% interest through Toyota Financial finance option, because I will be paying it off sooner than the 5 years and I save more by taking the thousand dollar rebate than the interest savings. As of now on a 5 year loan with my credit union, total interest paid after that full period is a projected sum of $575 in interest. So far I've already paid half the loan in just three months, so that figure is null. I basically saved over 600 more Than I would have if I took the 0% financing offer.

Just be sure man, check with people who know what they are doing! Good luck

Nope, not a joke. Good timing (Labor Day Sales) I guess. Toyota was offering some pretty sweet deals on the 2016 models...maybe because the 2017 model is around the corner. Not sure if the rebates are still around after Labor Day. I could have gotten the LE for $ 15070 + tax (roughly, $ 16,650 OTD) but decided to splurge and get the S Plus at $ 16200 + tax.
