I got a mailer from my local dealer (assuming it's a national ad campaign) that says I can get "up to" 60% of original sticker for trade in on my 2007 Avalon. I'm not totally gullible, and I know the 2013s are around the corner, and personally, I like the new look of Gen4.
But here's my question: Has anyone had the same offer? Is anyone considering trading in for a 2012? Has anyone actually taken "advantage" of this offer?
I'm thinking about trading in for a new Avalon, but want to know other's ideas.

The dealers wants to keep you as a customer for life. You're on their mailing list, so you'll receive offers from them from time to time, to continue to patronize them.

I like the part where the dealer claims THEY NEED GOOD USED CARS because they're inventory is low. Personally, I wold not buy a new model until it's been out at least for a year. I love my 05 Touring, but they've had to work out the kinks on a few things, more of a constant PITA to deal with the dealership. This happens to any new model year complete changeover..Honda and Nissan as well!

This is not always true. My 2003 4runner was the first year of the 4th generation. It has never been in the shop for anything other than normal maintenace. It is the best vehicle I ever owned. Still runs like new after 9 years.
