NEw TPMS sensor (8 digit id)

Hi,

If this has been discussed before, my apologies.

So I ordered some aftermarket TPMS sensors for my (07) Sequoia. They all have 8 digit ids when I go into Tech Stream it only allows me to enter 7 digits. So my question, is this a known limitation or have I been ripped off?

Thanks in advance.

This thread talks about the same issue, maybe it can b helpful?
OK thanks for the above info. The issue I am having that in Tech Stream it is only allowing me to type in 7 characters whereas it should be 8, ie ECB27A11 is acceptable for a hexidecimal format but I get as far as ECB27A1 and it wont let me go any further what am I doing wrong?
Looking at a couple of youtube vids the id s that are being entered are 7 digits as well not 8
im guessing the wrong ones :) no idea their in the tires. It would appear that some Toyotas take a 7 and some a 8 digit code. SO in Tech stream if you pick 2007 Sequoia you have to have a 7 digit so mine are wrong. Oh well.

Try using Denso # 5500103, several Toyota owners on other sites are saying the Techstream won't do after-market sensors where the Autel will since it doesn't limit the # of characters.
