hey everyone, finally managed to find a nice clean, stock mr2, its 1995 gt-s imported from japan to australia. just got a few questions.

1) i only seem to get about 380-400k's on a full tank of petrol, driving mostly under 3000 rpm occasionally planting my foot here and there...is that about normal?

2) also is the weight distribution 50:50 over the rear and front axles? i guess it would be as its kinda the point of the mr2...

3) the last owner told me the particular colour of the car is limited edition Cobalt Blue... is this true? and also is it the colour of Kai's mr2 from initial d?:D

answers much appreciated!

You didn't say if it's a turbo or N/A? But judging from the fog lights in the front grill, I would say it was a turbo.
If so, I get alittle bit better mileage than that. But not much. Have you tuned the ignition system yet?

I believe weight distribution is 48/52 respectively. They are alittle tail heavy.

Personally, I have never seen a Blue MR2. Either in person or even a pic. So maybe they are rare.Just my personal observation.
And BTW, welcome to TN! and congrats on your new toy...you will love it!
im jealous i can't wait to get mine, and its a beautiful car btw
ur gas mileage seems normal........i still avg that much, sometimes more after my build up.....
dude that is a nice car... the milage sounds alright i live in the us and i get 300 miles per tank + easily. the color is nice but i dont know about the initial d thing though the previous owner might have painted it or something. if you want to know for sure pull up the shifter boot and look at the metal under there. as for the weight, watch for snap oversteer which is the back end sliding out almost uncontrollably i did that and now im paying for it but try not to hit the brakes too hard going arount corners!
