Just thought I'd finally sit down and register myself for this site. I've been visiting here quite often and found this site to be very helpful. Just to give you guys some info, I'm 26 and I've owned 5 Toyotas to date. I Bought an 07 Camry SE V6 last July and LIKE the car a lot. I don't love it. I sold my 03 S Runner (loved this truck) because I simply wanted more room and power and bought the Camry because I thought the car was beautiful and the test drive was simply impressive. I got more room and power with the Camry but, as most of you who own the same car have found, Toyota just isn't building them the same. I've experienced the flares, the rattling, the squeaky brakes and the stinky AC. I've already brought the car in for warranty service (only 5300 miles on the car) for the rattling and brakes and was told they could not replicate the sound (bullcrap). They also told me that the flare was normal and that I just have to break the motor in . I have another appointment in a week because the rattling's driving me nuts. The flare issue, I've already adjusted to it.

Overall, I know I'll enjoy owning this car. I have plans to lower it and wheels are also planned for it's future. Thanks for taking the time to read my 1st post.

Welcome to TN!

Sorry to hear about your tranny and rattling issues. Be sure to print out the latest TSB's on the Camry regarding these issues and take them with you to the dealer the next time you get these problems checked out.
Thanks Trojan.

Matter of fact, I printed the pdf's from this site and brought them with me when I took my car in. My service rep didn't really like the fact that I did and he made me the "inside joke" of the morning amongst the other service reps. There was a lot of giggling and whispering. He wanted to know where I got them, so I simply told him that information is available if you know where to look. He continued to tell me that just because I brought the TSB's in, that they don't have to fix anything they don't find. So I told him that I knew that and that I brought them in to help me described the problems I've been experiencing. I even told him that I didn't think my car and VIN fit the TSB (which we found out that it didn't) but that I thought it would be helpful for me to show him anyway.

Anyways, I'm a really patient guy but I wasn't going to just let this guy have fun making look like the "Over-prepared customer who brings in his TSB's" so every time he would start getting silly about the TSB's, I would cut him off and remind him why I brought them in. He eventually figured out that I didn't appreciate his humor and became the ideal service rep. However, I still have those car issues to deal with.

Were you in the car when they looked at your Camry for tranny flare and for rattling sounds? When I had my first TSB (hesitation issues) done I drove about 2-3 miles around the dealership and the surrounding freeway with one of their certified mechanics/technicians.

I didn't have the time to and I actually didn't know they would allow me to do that. But why not since it's my car, right? I'll definitely try this if they tell me that they don't here anything because I ALWAYS here it.
