Hi,
This is an awesome forum!

I have a 2001 Camry. It has almost 90,000 miles on it!

I've been reading the forums, trying to see what maintenance needs to be done.

One question:

My brother-in-law just refilled my coolant, because it was almost empty. He put green in it. However, I'm reading here that it should have red coolant.:yikes:

Is this a problem? If so, what needs to be done, is it an emergency?

Thanks! I've never worked on my car, but since it's getting older, I thought I'd better start keeping track of everything that's been done to make it last longer. :)

the coolant should either be pink or green. if its red, its transmission fluid. your not gonna wanna mix pink and green coolant - you may have to do a total flush (not just a drain and fill) and start over. good luck!
if the previous owner puts green coolant, you should put green. DO NOT MIX!

as the previous guy said, drain the whole fluid out if u have filled with the wrong one.

welcome aboard :D
