After reading the excellent information on this site, I went to Best Buy, picked up the Isimple ipod interface, and installed it in my 2007 Tacoma.

Everything went as planned and when I was done last night everything worked great. The sound was great, the controls worked, the ipod charged. It was everything that I expected it to be.

Then, this morning, I hopped in the truck, plugged in my Ipod and turned the key - and there was no sound! The Ipod shows that it's charging, but the deck doesn't recognize it when I hit the "disc" button. But, the worst part is that there is no sound coming out of the stereo regardless of the source (am, fm, cd)!!

So, I am thinking that it could be one of two things:
1. the connection between the isimple harness and the head unit came loose over night and this is wreaking havoc on the whole system; or

2. I have blown a fuse, either in the main fuse box or internally in the head unit.

Here's some more information
1. When I installed the Isimple, I turned on dipswitches 1,2,4,8 plus number 6
2. I did not cut the green wire on the harness wiring
3. Everything worked great when I installed it last night, but didn't work at all this morning

Does anyone have any input for a solution or further troubleshootinig?
Thanks for your help!

When you hit the am or fm or CD, does the head unit change to the other modes, just no volumen?

Which unit do you have 1 CD, 6cd or 6CD jbl?

I would first take it all apart and make sure that all of the connections are secure.

Yes, when I hit the buttons, the head unit does change modes.

As far as the head unit is concerned, it acts as if the ipod is not connected, except that there is no sound.

I am just about to leave the office. As soon as I get home I'll tear it apart, reconnect everything, and then see what happens.

OK. I found my problem. It seems that when I opened my glove box, it pushed on the Ipod2car unit which was pushed against another buried cable which flipped two more of the dip switches.

As soon as I put the dip switches in their proper settings, everything worked fine.

This time I've found a more secure location for the unit so hopefully I won't have any more problems in the future.

I appreciate everyone's input.

Glad it worked out!
