Hi guys, I recently replaced my brake pads with OEM brake pads and the braking feel is much better now. However, whenever I put the gear selector into reverse and back up, I can hear some squealing sound from the brake area. I know it is not wear tab because I did not put them on. What else can happen that would cause this kind of noise when reverse? Everything is fine when I drive forward. Thanks for the help.

PS. I also replaced the old anti-rattle clips with the new aftermarket clips. (Don't know the old ones are OEM or not.) I also put on two wire-type anti-rattle springs on. That is all that I have changed. Thanks! Need some ideas before I took it apart again to check.

Sometimes the splash shield behind the rotor rubs. It's easily bent. So check for that.

Thanks guys. Will take it off tomorrow to take a look. Any reason it only happens when reverse? Thanks.

Bottom caliper bolt vibrated out at Hwy speed, I heard it and thought I'd run over tire chain.

Then had grinding sound when backing up; it was caliper pivoting on top bolt. Replaced lower bolt, thank god it wasn't top bolt as the caliper would have probably torn off on first exit ramp

wow, never heard of that happening ted...thank God you were ok. losing a caliper could very well have bleed your system dry, not to mention the pulling to one side would have been tremendous.
