Hello all, has anyone ever tried replacing the "non-replacable" u-joints on the manual transmission alltrack previa. I know the u-joints in the automatic trans can be replaced easily, but the manual transmission ones are listed as non-replacable. That being said the parts guy at my local toyota dealer said something like rockford u-joints should work fine, I've never heard of them though.

Thanks

Toyota also says that the bushings on the end of the SAD are not replacable either. But we know that there are aftermarket parts to get that job done. If it were me, I would actually get under there and see if the U Joint can be removed from the driveshaft. If it can, than it is replacable and you will just need to go to tha auto parts stores and have them match up what you need.. If one doesn't have it, go to the next. If that fails, there are places that specialize in just driveshafts... I know there are a couple here where I live. I bet they can help.
These are great vans, but Toyota didn't have on their thinking caps very well when they designed a few certain parts of the Previa.... Oh well... Nobody is perfect.
