Hi all,

I have a 93 corolla (AE101) and recently I noticed my rpm to be lower than before. Previously, at 100km/h, 5th gear, the rpm was around 3000rpm. But now at 100km/h, the rpm was only around 2000rpm.
I've recently changed the tyres but the tyre profile is still the same as the previous tyres. The spark plug and spark plug cables were also checked and changed so these shouldn't be the problem to the drop in rpm. Was wondering what can be the problem? Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe the tachometer is not getting a proper signal from the motor anymore, not sure where the wiring for the tach would be, you may want to look into it and verify it's not cut or grounding somewhere.
