Is it true that Avalon are limited in production? it has less Avalon's on the road compare to Infiniti G35, BMW 32X's series, Benz, and Honda Accord and Nissan Altima.

Is there an official numbers from Toyota on how many was produce year over year, and by model XL, XLS, Touring and Limited.

I concur with your observation. I live in Ohio and have searched the Ohio market for new 2008 Avalons. There are very few Avalons out there which seems odd. Additionaly they are being offered at some locations for sale at or below invoice.
I posted this a few weeks ago:
Toyota sold 72,945 Avalons in 2007, down from 88,938 in 2006. A difference of 15,993, or -18.2% They sold 418,757 Camrys in '07, up 14.5%
mickeyp,
Is production down in anticipation on a new 2009 model?
i doubt they will put out a 2009 model when they just updated the 2008. Although a 2010 or 2011 isn't too hard to conceive.
These are sales figures, not actual production numbers, although I'm not sure how much difference there would be. It would not surprise me if Toyota did a major rethinking of the Avalon based on these numbers. Even though it's considered their "flagship", they have never marketed it very well.
I never see any commercials for the Avalon, I was watching TV last night and they have this Toyota comercial on with ALL of their cars besides the Avalon.
They kept looping the Corolla, Camry, Sienna, Tacoma, Tundra, Sequoia, etc.. but no Avalon,, why,, I don't understand...
