Hey, TN n00b here, just had a question about OBDII gauges. I found the ScanGuage-2 and I like the idea, but I don't like the look. Does anybody know of any other companies that make similar products for an 07 tacoma? Ideally, it would have a date and time function in addition to all the things that the ScanGauge-2 has, have a black screen with led characters, and fit in the spot where the stock clock is located(with modification obviously). I'm looking for something in particular, but if I see something I like better, that would be cool, so if you know of ANY OBDII scanners, let me know. Thanks!

You should have seen what the scan gauge looked like BEFORE this version. If you wnat to drop some big coin there is this.

The drewtech one is close, but I already have a screen in my truck, so two would look ridiculous. Also, I like the idea of the SGII MPG feature, plus a temp gauge and date/time readout would be sweet. I would almost by the SGII if it just had a date/time readout.

I guess a clock is alot to ask. They made a device that could tell me how much gas I'm burning in relation to how fast I'm driving, what the voltage of my battery is, what my coolant temp is, and what my exhaust temp is...but a clock?? who would want that? ;)

Only one clock, if you still have the stock radio. No clock on the stock radio. Get an aftermarket radio and that would solve your issue for wanting to install the SG2 where the clock is.

Yeah, it looks like that might be the only solution. The only reason it's not perfect is because I already have an aftermarket stereo, but it's an indash dvd player/screen, and it's usually in Aux mode (for my iPod), or in video mode, and doesn't show the clock in those modes. I was just curious if there were other options out there or not. I guess not. Maybe I'll wait for the SG3 to come out. Maybe by then it will have a clock and a black screen.

Just make sure that whatever device you get, it's OBDII CAN compatible.
Not all OBDII devices will function with OBD CAN systems (like our 2005+ Tacos).
I know, because I had to upgrade my OBDII scan tool to a CAN capable once I bought my Taco.
