As the title says, let's talk! :)

See the little tab on the top of the gear shifter panel? Pop it off and push the button - see page 185 in your owners manual (page 17 of this PDF): http://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/om/OM12744U/pdf/4.pdf That will allow you to put it in N and start the car.

Check the bulb bases. Turn off your lights and hit the brakes, do all 3 work or does that make all your interior and parking lights come on too?
I'm pretty sure it's KYB, the original struts on my Celica I'm 99% sure said KYB on them. I assume a J vin Corolla would be the same. 1 vin Corolla...no idea but my NUMMI Prizm were KYB too.

I think @fishexpo had it sludge bad in one of his cars a long time ago? Like went gelatinous.

Shooting off your mouth like that, you're just gunning to derail this thread, we don't need any more ammo toward that target, we need to keep on the rails here and range this thread back in.

My friends 95 DX might be up for sale real soon. Anyone around Chicago interested? Good parts car, low miles, only 225k on it!

No. It's in rougher shape than I want one to be. There's too much cosmetic rust and clear coat failure.

That 95 is getting looked at this week and then written up. I need a pair of stock front speakers and a stock radio. She said I could have her old stuff and her Kenwood has a better EQ than mine I think. I don't want to leave it bare so I'll put stuff back in for if they sell it.

Do they have the 3 fins ontop?

Cause ST165 (4th gen Alltrac) calipers and brackets bolt right on and use the same size rotors as the 7th Gen Corolla.

Yea sorry 4 fins, sounds like the same caliper. Cool! I never installed mine, just never had the time so I can't say if they performed better.
So anyone around Chicago that might be interested in a 95 Corolla 1.8 w/ 4spd auto with 218K miles? Needs some stuff like an axle, 1/2 the front brakes, 2 outer tierods, and a rear brake adjustment to get it safely driving. Needs other things too but nothing earth shattering, drives nicely, shifts nicely. Has 4 good speakers, Kenwood radio that may or may not work 100%, yadda yadda.
You'd think, but I see trucks from the power plants and refineries here and they've only got 20-30K miles on them but they're just done with life. Everything is tweaked, worn out, gummed up, dented, damaged, and corroded from the harsh chemical environment. They look like 200-300K trucks!
get a universal joint and some extensions or a crow foot, but you need to reduce the torque slightly when using a crow foot because it's lengthening the wrench.

It's not my sale to make, but the owners are friends of mine. I used to be friend with their daughter but shes kind of dead to me, moved across the country without saying anything to me except when her car broke. SHE'S OUT OF THE CIRCLE OF TRUST!
Crow foot will work on that, or just use a box wrench and German torque.

Hey ding dong, take the throttle body off! 2 nuts, 2 bolts, slides forward enough to get in there to click it down tight, slide it back, seal it up. The metal gasket is reusable.
Have them use a patch-plug, it seals from the inside out and is the best tire repair for a new tire.
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=77

We do those, but we also do plugs cause they're easy and work well enough. If it's a new new tire we patch plug, if it's a worn tire we just plug.
