See the little tab on the top of the gear shifter panel? Pop it off and push the button - see page 185 in your owners manual (page 17 of this PDF): http://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/om/OM12744U/pdf/4.pdf That will allow you to put it in N and start the car.
Smh that reminds me I still gotta clean my pipercross filter such a pain but that’s the ITB lifeTomorrow I'm dropping the car off to an exhaust shop to have a full stainless exhaust custom built. Nothing fancy though as the goal is to have the exact same inner diameter as the stock blacktop exhaust, and I asked for a sporty but low volume sound to make sure the intake sound isn't dwarfed by the exhaust. It'll also use the catalyser from the bzr, updated with v-band flanges, and with a corresponding test pipe I can replace it with whenever I want.
I should have the car back by friday, and then it's a matter of cleaning the pipercross air filter and changing the oil to be ready for the summer.
Mine are only 70mm and I kind of cheated since I’m using the filter that has the right angles. That’s enough structural integrity that the filter doesn’t get sucked into the trumpets and I don’t have to run that mesh thing. I also smoothed out and metal brackets and stuff that the filter can catch on and rip when sliding in and out (since you have to smush the filter against the firewall/strut bar to get it up and over the stacks)Especially with 100mm velocity stacks right against the firewall, it's a pita to install and remove![]()
Damn this song hits deep for us 7th gen owners.. passes the vibe test 101/10I don't know if it's been posted, but I came across a very unusual song!
Can confirm it's not bad only slightly more effort than OEM 185 pizza cuttersFor what it's worth, I ran 205s on my Corolla and the steering was fine. Didn't feel hard to turn. Unless they're racing slicks lol.
That’s pretty awful.. tons of people say that Japan built Honda’s are unmatched in quality compared to US built ones. My integra was solid but my mom’s US built civic had the starter go out and rear strut blow at 80kGF's Canada built Civic was also not...the best assembled car. Front fenders and doors were misaligned, rear toe was set bad from the factory causing it to hop sideways over expansion joints (but not enough to wear the tires), a steel tube was poorly spot welded together and leaked coolant, the blower motor died at around 60K miles, and the infamous Honda 'if the paint is dark the clear will peel' issues.
Why are you ordering from Europe? lolThis is over 60$

Worth a shot before paying $60 for one plus they fit snuggly in pocketsI reckon a salvage horn would not look any better
📯 Is working currently, it just looks fuggly from being assaulted by roadspray through the years behind the grille, I caught a glimpse yesterday looking at the hood latching bracket
But a louder Lexus horn is intriguing![]()
Do you remember what model it was? An upgrade would be niceJust grab a horn at the junkyard from another Toyota or Lexus. Check and compare the wire connector. A lot of times it's identical. I pulled a horn off a Lexus. It's a lot louder!
This was a post in NJNJ plated car in CA?
Yup! And it was a GTI too but that gen was pretty pathetic. Nonetheless this had no sporting intentions and it just tells you how well torque-biased powerbands perform in the real world.Jeremy Clarkson compared it to the golf of the time. Believe it was quicker aswell. https://youtu.be/OpWPYPnZXQQ
Was the airbox mod deleting the bumper resonator box? I definitely felt a decent bump in 4k-6k with the header and eBay catback with stock airbox. But it did feel like stock had more of that effortless acceleration feel. Very 1mz likeThe 7A with some gentle massaging was an excellent engine for driving and I dearly really miss mine. I want that power band again in a new car, but the power band I had after timing advance, header, and airbox mod. Super nice low end torque that peaked at what felt like 2000-2500 RPM and didn't fall off noticably till around 4800-5200 RPM. It should be easily achieved with modern VVT and GDI tech, and I think the newer Mazda 2.0 and 2.5 have a similar power band but can do it on regular 87 octane instead of the 89-93 I needed for the 7A with extra timing. And they get better gas mileage for a myriad of reasons.
I know it wasn't fast, but it felt good to drive like it moved itself without expending undue effort to get underway, unlike how a lot of smaller engined small cars feel these days, fool me all you want with DBW throttle mapping to feel strong off the line but I can tell what's happening when I step on the gas for more and there's just not a lot left to give.
