As the title says, let's talk! :)

See the little tab on the top of the gear shifter panel? Pop it off and push the button - see page 185 in your owners manual (page 17 of this PDF): http://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/om/OM12744U/pdf/4.pdf That will allow you to put it in N and start the car.

Found this guy that does custom LED taillights for a lot of JDM cars and I hit him up about doing some for the corollas. I just noticed how similar the Corolla taillights are to the OG LS400 ones.

The thing I was more interested in though was inquiring if the guy can make a trunk garnish that lights up, connecting the taillights, and I guess, looking like Dodge Durango or something. I just thought it’d be pretty cool. He said “The trunk garnish can install LED if there is space behind the lens.” I haven’t seen my car for like a day so I’m not sure how thick the garnish is and if it’s gonna interfere with the flush fitment. Obviously custom wiring is required as there is no light up garnish but I hope something actually comes out of this.

Prices. Nor sure what I expected to be quite honest. Seriously considering it but I need to think straight. Can’t lead the guy on say yes and then chicken out last minute. Hmm..

Gonna be honest, those don't look that good from what little I can see there.

See, for me, there is no real standard as I don’t know what’s good and what isn’t. I know I saw these on another LS400 in person and they were wicked. Here’s a link to those: http://instagr.am/p/CnVUQpfyr86/
my only concern is justifying the price, I know it would be cheaper to go out of my way to make them myself, but since I started school last week, I have like no time to do anything ever. I think I need to find some illicit ways to make money…..

Thankfully the seller was understanding and is helping me out. Maybe i should’ve just picked it up since he’s 40 minutes away in another state..

Could’ve been worse.

My whole front end has been clunking for a while, I got the tie rods replaced back in January but literally going over any bump sounds like the car’s gonna break into a million pieces. I don’t know what brand parts my mechanic used so it could just be low quality parts. Checking out this thread: Front suspension clunks
And checking out RockAuto I could get a whole front end kit, the brands are either Mevotech or Moog. I like the price of the Mevotech but I’ve never heard of them before. Anyone have any experience?
Probably sway bar links/ball joints.
I’ll get my car on a lift tomorrow and take a look
Every time I’m on RockAuto, I can’t help but check out the dashboard covers offered by one company, and all the varieties of fabric they use. Dash Designs with carpet, suede, velour, and something they call Dashtex. From the reviews I’ve read they’re not bad, my only concern is I have a gray interior (according to the brochure), but I’m gonna put in these nice light brown leather front seats sometime next month. What color for the dash cover should I get for it, or should I just not get one at all?

Back in the day, we had dashmat. The issue with installation, the material had to be laid in the sun prior. But it never did help. Back edge never laid flat on the dash.

Better quality these days, but hard to say. Since 93, I haven’t gotten another.
I have a dashboard cover like that in my truck and Tahoe. Not bad quality, but they are secured by velcro strips you adhere to your dash. Eventually they break free and the cover lifts up a bit. They also seem to block a good bit of air when trying to use the defrost setting.
Funny this comes up, my mother is making herself a dash toupe (dash cover) for her Mazda with a rotting dash and was asking me about making sure the Velcro stays stuck to the dash. I suggested silicone adhesive or hot melt glue. Thoughts?

I’ve had 2 issues back then. Velcro was not made well and the dash itself. I recall the instructions mentioned about any protectant applied previously has to be removed. But never successful.

With the Velcro, look into the stronger ones by 3M. I believe the white colored ones from Mastercarr or grainger will do the trick. The ones supplied has a smaller hook and is pretty thin.
I agree with 75aces comments, although I've been lazy and haven't tried to resecure mine yet. They're not too bad otherwise, and definitely hide the missing sections of 90's Chevy dash. lol
Hey, I don’t know if I hit anything recently, but my car’s been having a funny sound for about four days now. I hear it the most while accelerating, I can’t really hear it when idling. Took a video of it, IDK if you can hear it.

I'm not sure from the video but I recently had to diagnose an exhaust leak on my Outback. I happened to have a bottle of gas leak testing liquid with an applicator laying around, so I used that. Bubbles showed immediately in the area I happened to have a leak.

Some dish soap mixed with water will yield the same results.
Yes, dish soap mixed with water in a spray bottle works great.
I can hear it in the video. I wonder if it's the muffler to exhaust flange connection. Mine would periodically come loose there.
