Hi, new member here. My wife has driven pickup trucks 15 of the 17 years ive known her. Had an 04 Dakota that got replaced by an 04 Dodge 2500 Cummins that I started working out of about a year ago when my IDI Ford blew its engine. We have 3 Cummins pickups (2 are 1stGens) and none have under 500k mi, all original engines, fuel system excluded. They're awesome pickups, and I'd prefer she go back to the 04 Dodge, but she likes separating the kids with the 3rd row seat, lol.

She bought a Pilot from her brother 2 years ago, and it is on its last legs at 270k (maintenance is NOT one of his strong suits). She now is looking to buy a Highlander, and with the recent spike in fuel prices, and no return to $2.50 gas in sight, she's thinking of a hybrid for the mid 20s fuel economy. Look forward to gaining real world info on the Toyota vehicle lineup.

Dan

Cheers

Guy climbing up the ladder from 1st gen into a 2nd gen 2012 4 cylinder

with 90k miles. Loved my 1st gen but had to let go since it was killing my pocket. Let’s see how does it goes.

Hi! A new member here! We purchased 2013 Highlander with 2.7L engine and I look forward learning about this car from all of you.
Hey everyone, just purchased a 2008 HL Limited with 211K miles. Looking to learn from everyone!
Hello I'm Levi, own a 2012 Highlander Hybrid Limited, just over 200km's on it currently.
Hi
My name is Richard. I own a 2010 Highlander Base AWD V6.
Hello fellow 'Highlanders'!
Been a member on the forum since 2019 but not many posts.

I just sold my 2013 Camry SE and bought a 2013 Highlander Limited Hybrid 52K (Yes it was driven by a little old lady - LOL). Blizzard Pearl, new Pirelli Scorpion Verde treads, added OEM rubber floor mats, cargo mat & splash guards. 6 tanks of fuel so far, mixed highway/city: 26.5 - 28mpg. Much better city driving if it stays under 45mph. Either way, better than the Camry 4cyl at 23 mpg on same roads/routine!

Looking forward to sharing when I can!

Jeremy here! Just made the switch from a 2012 Prius C to a 2008 Highlander Sport (180k miles).

I REALLY miss the 45 mpgs with the Prius, but I welcome the outdoor adventure practicality of the Highlander (used 4Runners cost more).
And MAN is it way more comfortable!! lol
Hello,
I am Brian and I own a 2013 Highlander Limited. I'm looking forward to the information available on this forum.

Thanks!
Hello fellow Highlanders!

Just acquired a fantastic example of a Highlander from my parents. It's a 2009 Limited V6 with the tow package. Almost 300k km and still running strong! Not really planning on any modifications but would like to swap in an android headunit at some point, seems like that might be a bit tricky with the JBL system. Besides that just wanting it make it last as long as possible!

Cheers,
HL Kid

Hello,

I am Nicole,
I am looking to upgrade to a 2008 or 2009 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Test drove one yesterday '08 HIL Hybrid 116k miles, two owners, clean carfax asking price is $15k. Just looking to get more information on them before I make the decision to purchase. Hoping to get a vehicle that will last 10 years.
Recently got a '13 Highlander after my dad upgraded to a 2022. Have been really enjoying the car and have made a few modifications already (wired in dashcam, LED headlights, and led interior lighting). I plan to upgrade to apple carplay soon. Hoping to keep this SUV as long as I can as I am thoroughly enjoying it!
Just got a '09 Highlander Limited AWD just a few weeks ago! I am planning on turning it into a camping/overland build. It seems like a perfect SUV for what I want to do, so I am looking forward to getting some upgrades done soon!
