Hey , The oil change indicator in my 89 automatic yota is always on , even though my oil in it is fine , ive changed it out numerous times and its still always on.... If anyone knows how to stop this or correct it , it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
If the pressure light is on, then you should get the engine checked to make sure the oil pressure is ok. If the pump is not working correctly, or the pick up is partially clogged, or you have a wildly out of spec clearance somewhere, you might have low pressure which would trigger the light. Or you might just have a bad pressure switch or something. Better to find out right away before something much more expensive suffers.
