Heya Toyota Nation, I'm not a Toyota owner, but I tried to help my friend change her oil on her 2014 Corolla thinking it was an easy process. I tried to get to the oil filter, but the cap was in my way. I took some filter remover pliers to it, but I made the cap rounded, if not a bit damaged.

I feel like an idiot. Is there anyway I can get it off? I caused some oil to leak, however the cap is still on there tight. What can I do? I feel bad for doing this to my friend's car. How can I finish the oil change?

To remove he housing you will need a tool like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oil-Filter-...:g:GdIAAOSwMmBVlPz6&item=161583439013&vxp=mtr

If the housing is damaged it should be replaced.
