The thread has already been deleted. But here are the cliff's:

1. Noob ask really simple question that could have been answered via search
2. Tn member answered question and reminded noob to search.
3. noob takes response the wrong way and makes a jerk comment...or two...or three
4. thread quickly (and I do mean quickly) degrades into a swearing contest and personal attacks...but not from the TN'r that answered the question.

Let's just say that a few "members" made quite an ass of themselves this morning.:ugh3:

I saw the thread while it was unfolding. I can't understand why the biggest problem was caused by someone who wasn't even involved in the disagreement. It was almost like someone decided that they wanted to be banned, and went about making it happen on purpose.

I too saw it. I saw the opening salvo and knew it wasn't going to end well. Too bad I didn't get a chance to check back in before it got deleted. I'm sure it was interesting reading.

Oh well, if you take what someone says on the interweb personal then you REALLY need to get out more.

i think some ppl are just a little overwhelmed by how many new ppl there are asking questions. i saw most of it i knew after that comment by the new guy that things were doomed.

This forum is pretty lax on the rules, the real problem is the personal attacks, they are unacceptable and will not be tolerated. There is no reason to personally attack anyone, ever.
