I want to block-off the egr on my 22rte (turbo) that I'm installing in an 86 4runner that is used primarly off-road. Don't know if there is more to it than vaccum caps and block-off plates? What about the ecm controled part of it and the hot combustion temps. Is there a safe way to do this? My engine builder says no, and I cant get a good answer from Lc Engineering who sells the block-off kit.
