Will the on board generator on the 2014 Tacoma's run a 110V Hobart wire welder? I'm thinking it probably won't but thought I'd ask anyway.

It is called an "inverter." If your "welder" draws less than 400 Watts it would work.

I cannot imagine any type of welder drawing less than 15,000 watts.

I'm pretty sure it draws way more than that. I'll have to look just to know from now on.

A typical 120 volt welder is going to use somewhere around 3000 watts at full output. The limited duty cycle prevents tripping the breaker on a typical 15 or 20 amp circuit.

In case you end up shopping for a generator...
