I am a very organized person..and am just wondering what you guys have done to keep your truck this way..maybe things such as change holders etc.. and where you purchased these items. pics of gadgets mounted in places to fill space are also welcome. just need a way of keeping things out of the way and also need ideas on how to fill some of the un used space ( such as spot in front of gear shift.. in a manual )

Thanks

I hate change rattling in my truck, so I dump off all my change in a jar at home each day, and then save it all and add it to my kids college fund. It adds up to a few hundred dollars a year.

I do the same thing, only its my Vegas fund :D
^Funny, that's exactly what I do with mine.

wow that pretty crazy. funny how change really does add up.
its a truck...what needs to be organized. You haul, go off road and use it for work.
im pretty good at throwing anything inside the cab into the bed while im driving, its pretty handy, i'm like a 9 outta 10 shot.
I have some CD cases in the arm rest, along with an ink pen. The glovebox has napkins, digital tire gauge, and ziplock bag with the truck manual, registration, insurance card. I have some nylon strap ratchets wrapped up in the compartment under the rear seat. Then in the bed of the truck I have a tool bag with screwdrivers, wrench, pliers, flashlights, batteries, trailer harness adapter, trailer balls, pins, clevis hooks, recovery strap, jumper cables, First-Aid kit, rain poncho, flares, zip ties, and stuff like that.
I don't have any really unique ideas but I did get some self adhesive closed cell foam from Wal Mart and stuck it in the compartment in front of the shifter to keep stuff from rattling.
I keep everything out of sight. Nothing on floors, dash, or seats. Rope and bungees in bed compartments, binoculars and flashlight in armrest, small tackle box, first aid kit, and toilet paper under rear seats. Glove box contains only insurance card and registration. It must stay that way, because if anything gets out of place my head would probably explode. :yikes:
Center console:
4 or 5 CDs held in the little area with the cargo net
2 Mile Radius Walkie Talkie (great for when your driving in groups of cars)
Cell phone charger
Flash light
Digital Camera
iPod/headphones

Cubby next to steering wheel:
Garage door opener
Oakley Glasses Case

Glove Box:
All of my papers on the vehicle
Tire Pressure Gauge
Mini Flash Light
Ballpoint Pen
Napkins
Factory Manual with Toyota Contact Info

Under Rear Seats Cubby:
Bed Cleats
Large flashlight
Large piece of rope (strong ass rope, I've pulled a tree out of the ground with it, ghetto way of landscaping)
Two towels
Factory jack/tools

Under seats (I keep them folded down for my dogs to have an area to chill):
Industrial Jumper Cables
Towel (dry off the doors when it rains)
On top of the seats I have a blanket so its nice and comfortable for the Schnauzers

Roof Console:
Extra pair of Oakleys (just in case)
In bed:
Several peices of cheap rope for tying things down real quick

BTW guys... I'm looking for something to sit in the back seat of my dub cab that will hold files, fodders, misc paper, pens, paperclips, etc... I carry patient charts sometimes and various things i'm working on in there and it is so messy to just keep things stacked up on that back seat.....

Any ideas?

I'm a police officer and we use milk crates from wal-mart a lot... you can put hanging file folders in them to organize paperwork and they are pretty durable... You can also seat belt them in so they don't go flying in an accident

For that, I use drawer liner. I cut it to size and it works perfectly.

lol
hey you can do it without littering...
thats what one way streets with trash cans on the left side are for

and if you cant find any
just have whoevers sitting in the passenger's seat chuck it into a bus stop trash can
lol

but yeah i have most of my crap behind the right rear seats
if you fold down the bottom half of the seat and leave the backrest portion up it creats a lot of room...i think a milk crate would fit perfectly...havent really tried it though

the only reason i do it though is cause it makes my sub louder lol

I use one of these to keep change from ratting around. Available at your local Walmart for < $3. Quarters, dimes, and nickles on top and there's a cup on the bottom for pennies. It's far better than just having a random mixed up stash of coins, and fits perfectly in the smallest cup holder by the driver's seat of my 6-speed.
