Holy crap! Is this 2006 or 1968? I thought the f***ing Commies lost! I
touched a piece of the Berlin Wall, so I'm sure the Wall came down. (The
particular piece of wall was in Arkansas at the time.)

Sounds like the Hillary Loonie Left is on the march for 2008.

When der Hillary says, "We iss der Master Race."
Then we Heil. (phhfftt) Heil (phfft) right in der Hillary's Face.

(with apologies to Spike Jones and his City Slickers.)

This is what a once great party has become. Blame it on the
complacent people in the party....

No wonder they lose in elections.

Did you catch the gov of Virginia's rebuttal to the SOTU?
gawd how did that guy get elected?

I did not see Kaine's rebuttal, but I can comment on how he got elected
as our new Governor. He rode on the coattails of the outgoing Mark
Warner. His opponent was a one-horse candidate -- traffic congestion.
He was ten times more personable and direct than Kilgore. I didn't
vote for him, but I seriously considered it. The deal breaker for me
was his support of illegal immigrant job sites. The only thing
appealing about Kilgore was his name (that's a joke for you Liberals).

I drove thru my old stomping grounds in Northern Virginia (Fairfax rt
123) and was amazed at how clogged the roads are.

I bitch here about all the damned snow birds....but our traffic jams
are a hell of a lot easier to deal with than the DC area. Glad I'm
out of there...

What a small world. That's where I grew up also. Went to Fairfax High
School, the Fairfax Rebels.

I lived on Oak St. It is at the junction of Interstate 66 and rt
123...

half acre lot backing up to Fairfax City. Worth a small fortune
now...lol

I had an office in Silver Spring. I can still remember traffic jams
at Cabin John on my way home...

We lived in Great Oaks, right next to the High School. I didn't have
far to go for school. Cabin John bridge has been renamed to American
Legion bridge, or something like that.

I was going to work in Gaithersburg one morning and the back up at the
bridge was especially horrific that morning. When i got to the bridge
I saw a tractor-trailor stopped on the bridge. When I finally reached
it I saw there was a car-sized hole on the bridge where you could see
all the way down to the river. Apparently the concrete had
disentegrated and collapsed. That fella had stopped to block the hole
from claiming any victims that day.

My time in the area....it seems the Cabin John was two lanes each way?
What a bottle neck!

Actually the truck could have solved a lot of problems by letting a
few thousand cars fall thru (you not included)... <g>

I suspect that the new subway would be a much better way to get to
Silver Spring from Fairfax....but I was in sales and needed to
drive...maybe I could have stashed the company car in SS and used the
subway to get there.

Probably, since you reich-wingers are haters.

On the other hand, there's many Republicans that I like. John McCain,
for example.
