What Bond movie was the car in... I don't recall ever seeing it
"You Only LIve Twice"

Developed jointly by Yamaha and Toyota, the 2000GT made its debut at the 1965 Tokyo Motor Show. However it took another 2 years before it went on sale. It is suggested that the origin of the car was a design carried out by freelance US/German designer Albrecht Goertz, who had designed the BMW 507 and later had a hand in the Datsun 240Z. Although built by Yamaha, Goertz had originally penned the car for Nissan, but they turned it down – probably because its sophistication and cost were too high for the production and marketing plans they were making. Yamaha then turned to Toyota, who decided to put the car into production.

I thought I had read somewhere that it started out as Nissan. Readig this, the guy that dewsigned it originally tried to get Nissan to build it and they said no. HE coincidentally helped design the 240ZX.

ALl I can say is it is a beautiful car. Yeah the headlights in the grille look a little odd but who cares.

It may have been ground breaking back in the day but so was the wheel. I wouldn't pay 200 grand for the first wheel ever invented.
To each their own though. I'm not hating by any means. :)

That car ain't sex, it's pornography.... - Jeremy from TG

Yeah, I would definitely buy it if I had the money. Screw the Ferraris and the Lambos, I get that car anyday.:

I'm more of a old school junkie. I think I'll do that one day when I'm old. Collect old cars and mod it up.
