hi, i am trying to replace 2007 RAV4 oxygen sensor on the ehaust, which is proving to be a pain.

How do i wire it? The after market sensor is 4 wires as well but wires a different collor, does anyone know the how to connect it properly?

I tried it but its giving some sort of error.

O2 sensors are designed to plug right on in. the color of the wires may or may not matter, but what is more important is that if it doesn't plug in, you may have the wrong one. Don't toss your original one because it does have the OEM number on it. You may want to check where you got the aftermarket one to see if they gave you the right one.

If you still have problems, I'd get an OEM one. I think you'll spend a bit more, but have far less headaches.
Sorry if that wasn't the answer you were looking for, but hope it helps. Let me know if you need any help on it.

Good Luck

That may be an air/fuel sensor not just an O2 sensor. Hence the price difference.
I'd check with a good parts source like maybe rockauto or even one of the Toyota online OEM parts sites for a Nippondenso sensor.
BTW - Isn't that still on warranty?
