I got these codes the other day while I was idling in a parking lot. I have replaced the MAF sensor, but the problem is still there. If anybody has any ideas, PLEASE let me know. All of the information I have found online hasn't helped me. I tried to clean the old sensor before I replaced it too.

2020 Toyota Corolla SE 2L CVT just under 70,000 Miles - I was sitting in a parking lot at the airport taking photos of planes with the engine idling and the screen said engine service required. I used a scanner and it game me P0102 P0113 codes.

Which Corolla model, trim level, year, transmission is it? What mileage are you at, and what happened exactly?

Do you still have the original intake, airbox, and air filter installed?

The air filter has been replaced, however it was replaced two months before the code came up.

Which air filter is it? OEM Denso?

In all honesty, I do not know.

Who replaced your air filter? Is all properly reinstalled?

I replaced it. It is all properly installed as far as I know.

Where did you get your air filter from? Is it the same as original, and does it fit properly? Is the airbox lid good and snug all around on it?

I got it from my at the time girlfriend's dad who ordered it from somewhere. He worked at a dealership. It does fit properly.
Both codes point to MAF. How long was it before you changed the filter? 102 is MAF and 113 is hot air, or MAF.

The error code P0113 doesn’t necessarily mean that the air intake is too hot, as there are many reasons why this particular code can be triggered. However, the most common causes are:
  • A problem with the IAT sensor (intake air temp)
  • Dirty air filter
  • Faulty/dirty MAF sensor
  • Problems with wiring/connectors
  • PCM has failed
I would check the connector going to MAF, make sure it is locked, check the wiring going to it and look for pulled wires. Check the clamps on the tube going to throttle body (the accordion one). Next would be buying a can of MAF cleaner spray and cleaning it.

I have checked the connector multiple times, and I have tried cleaning the sensor as well as buying a new sensor. I have checked all of the tubes for leaks as well. I looked at the wiring harness but it goes into a plastic piece that I cannot see past. I am really lost on what to do now.
Did the replacement MAF/IAT sensor come from Toyota dealer? Do you still have your original MAF/IAT sensor which is still good?

Which brand and part number are printed on your air filter?

I do not have the original anymore. I did not buy it from a dealer. I replaced the sensor because I thought it was bad. I will go and check on the air filter.

The part number is 22204-75040 Honestly, I do not know what happened to the original as I had my dad install it for me and he took it with him, but I do know that it is no longer with us. I checked the air filter and there are no markings on it. I did confirm that the sensor does work because I can see a reading from it on my scan tool.

You do have the correct sensor.
Yes, it is the same part number as the original.
