Dealer checked it, said it was the #1 coil. Replaced all coils and plugs, still throwing same code, took it back in, intermittent misfire under load only. Dealer can't figure it out. Anybody run into this? 2012 Avalon with 3.5

How many miles on the vehicle? Is that the only code, no other code come up?
Possible an injector problem; Plug and coil aren't the only items that could cause a misfire code in one cylinder. If it is more pronounce under load maybe the injector is clogged up, and doesn't provide a good spray pattern. Or the injector driver in the ECM is going out. Even mechanical problem can cause that code.

Suggest a double-check on the wired connector to the top of that coil. Due to the age and heat, I found mine to be very brittle and easy to crack. There's a possibility your intermittent fault under load is due to a bad connection at that plastic coupler. My 2 cents. Good luck.
