Sorry, but I'm cross threading this post because I got no response in the Camry section.

Hi, I'm a nOOb here with a '98 Camry V6 that has the MIL on.

I pulled the codes, and came up with P1133 and P1135. Something to do with the A/F sensors, but I need to know what diagnosis direction to go in, and what possibly has failed.

your o2 sensors might be bad ... cross threading is bad just wait till some of us no lives wake up and come to tn ... p1135 is the back bank o2 heater sensor and it also seems that p1133 is also bad you should also try doing a serch on the site for this i know i had a post about it. alright to test the heater you should have contiunancey across 2 lines and to test the sensor you shoud get around 11 to 17 ohms resistance ... if any of those fail then replace it

P0133 O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0135 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

135 is a o2s heater circuit malfunction. It's entirely possible that a problem with that circuit is also causing 133. Check all elec. connections first.
To test the heater using a voltmeter - disconnect the o2s connector and connect the meter bet. the heater power supply wire and ground. With the ignition on(engine off), battery voltage should be supplied on this wire. If it's less than 12v, then there's a problem with the wire. If the voltage is good, then it means the prob. is with the sensor. replace the o2s.

A/F SENSOR P1133 and P1135

HI,
I had codes P1133 and P1135 for my 1998 Camry LE v6. I replaced the A/F/ sensor and the day after clearing the codes with the scan tool the codes are back and the check engine light came bcak on. Can anyone help???????????????????????

With codes indicating your car is running lean I would look for air leaks/vacuum leaks and look at the MAF sensor as the culprit. Hope that helps. Easiest technique I feel for looking for vacuum leaks is spraying the intake manifold and see if engine rpms pick up as you are spraying areas on the intake manifold. IAT and ECT sensors can cause a lean condition but I feel they are less likely to cause it as they seem to be more reliable sensors compared to the MAF since the MAF is so sensitive to contamination.
