You can get a paint chip with 10 miles. It happens. I know it sucks. You might want to look into a clear bra.Trojan said:I purchased a "Super White" LE Camry about a weak and a half ago, and noticed that I already have TWO CHIPS; one at the bottom of my rear bumper and one on the lower part of the front bumper.
I only commute about 25 miles to and from work about six days/week with a mixture of sidestreets and freeways. I barely noticed the chipping yesterday during a carwash. I called my dealer and they said told me to set up an appointment with their in-house bodyshop.
I am extremely pissed because I also own a 2000 LE Camry and it did not experience chipping until last year! (it's all black).
The paintjob IMO, seems iffy and it seems like the manufacturer only laced the car with one coat of paint?
Has anyone else had problems with this? The dealer told me that they DO NOT COVER "stone" chipping? this has to be a joke because I just purchased this car and added a 7 year warranty!
Has anybody had the same experience? I only have 300 miles on my camry so far!
Sorry I had to vent..
