Just wondering how long it takes to paint a car (including sanding, priming etc.) My friends cars been in the shop for 3 weeks..and i was just wondering whats upp

3 days! to a week at most maybe but three weeks in kinda crazy in my opinion how much work was being done....some times car is ready in a day if in good shape!

i would have to say around a week, even if the shop is slightly busy...the only reason it should take longer is if that shop is taking on business from dealerships and what not and has a ton of work

and racerhex, i know you've done some custom stuff on your car...but there is no body shop that can sand down your car, primer it, paint it, and have it ready in one day...that leaves no time for the paint to dry...and the last time i checked, you don't wet sand and buff paint that hasn't settled...and trust me, you WILL want a wet sand and buff...makes a HUGE difference
