has anyone tried swapping a 3S-GTE in a paseo?

back yard productions in florida have swapped one into a tercel... same chasis, so yes some has!!

hmm the only tercel i see on thier site is an older tercel hatch and that looks like it has a 4e-fte im guessing it is because they say its a 1.3. the other tercel on there has a jdm 5efe or a 5efhe or somethin...

they are doing it....look on cardomain.com its called the project dragonfly or look under BYP maybe.

yeah by byp, you mean backyard productions right? if so i went there and saw the tercel swap i mentioned above.. im having trouble finding anything on it on cardomain, or anywhere else on the web. the main thing i wanna know is what can i expect for this swap as far as fitments, mods, mounts, but most importantly DRIVETRAIN!! dunno what tranny i would use. and any other info i can get would be cooooool thanks

BYP is in the process of updating the board. Its really their for reference as opposed to pretty pictures and all. Phone calls usually yield better results. But if you like to see more pics on Dragonfly go here

you may want to speak with GT Revva hands on if you are serious about this swap since he is one of the only people who has done this swap and has it running reliably. I know others are either trying or in the process, but arent nearly as versed in the necessities to get it right than he is. If you brought your ride down to Miami expect to leave it for a little bit, since the swap will intail many custom parts and firewall mods. Price will range a few thousand over the conventional 4E-FTE swap which runs $2000 and up.
