Phillips X-Treme Power Bulbs

I purchased and installed a set of Phillips X-Treme bulbs and put them in my truck tonight. I haven't seen them in an area without streetlights, but it is definitely a whiter light. It now mathes the Crystal vision fog light bulbs I installed a couple of weeks ago. They are DOT legal and if anyone is interrested I ordered them from Powerbulbs.

Since I get such great info from this group, I thought I would post this. If you enter this code - AYSCX1729 , you get an extra 10% off. No sales tax and free shipping was included and they sent a couple of 5w blue marker bulbs for free.

I'll try tomorrow. I did a comparison with 1 bulb each and it was very noticeable. I was in a hurry to drop them in and didn't stop to take pics. I'll see about tomorrow night
How come you didn't go with an HID kit?
I wanted to keep the car legal and as I hate to be blinded, I didn't want to go HID. I was just looking for a cleaner whiter light. Phillips bulb are DOT approved.
I have these bulbs and they're nothing short of AMAZING.

FYI, DOT Approved does not mean they are street legal! DOT Approved means they've been analyzed to meet certain criteria (ie they won't catch your truck on fire, etc). Just a little warning since you implied that they were street legal since they were DOT approved. No different than getting an HID kit that says DOT Approved yet NONE of the HID Kits that you use with the current headlight housing are street legal.
That's a hi/low bulb,right?
I see the company is overseas.
How long did the delivery take?
^ Me too. Still going strong after 2 years.
your fog lights were 9005 right? how are they holding up? im thinking bout ordering the bluevision for my fogs and xtreme power for my headlights
You can order the bulbs in the US. A few companies carry them. I bought a pair of XtremePower bulbs for my Subaru WRX (9007 bulbs) and a wiring harness from suvlights.com. I'm not sure if it's the best deal on the web, though. Wiring harness does what it's supposed to do, which is less voltage drop, but they tape the ends of the split loom instead of shrink tubing. The bulbs combined with the harness gave me a substantial boost in light output and distance. Went from being afraid to drive the freeway at the speed limit to being able to see much better. But it's still a bandaid for the crummy subaru headlight optics.

Probably a worthy upgrade for your headlights, too.

ahh-ha now i see it. thanks.

yeah im getting the 9005 bluevision foglight bulbs with the xtreme power h4 headlight bulbs
Yes they are a hi/low bulb. I have the Phillips Crystal Vision bulbs in my fogs H10.

Sorry if the discount code didn't work for you, I only ordered about a week ago and it worked for me. It subtratcted 10% from the Euro and then charged me in US Dollars.

As far as HID, in So Cal, it is illegal to alter your lighting equipment and HID's are easy to spot, especially if there is no cutoff for the beam. A simple bulb replacement for me was economical and hassle free. Non DOT bulbs can also cause problems.

Just trying to help out

No big deal on the 10% discount that didn't work for me.
Thanks for the tip on the bulbs.
