I've been searching like crazy but can't find a definitive answer. My left fog light took a pretty serious blow and deformed the lens pretty bad, so I ordered some PIAA 510s to mount in the fog light holes. I plan on using the PIAA wiring harness but want to cut off the PIAA switch and wire the harness to the Factory Fog Light Switch. Can anyone tell me how to wire this? The PIAA harness has red, black, and white wires going into the switch connector.

Thanks

Light Green wiring is the positive side
White w/black stripe is the ground side

My suggestion is to buy a pigtail and don't cut your stock plug. depending the wattage of the bulb you are going to use, use the harness that comes with it to provide the load to the lights directly from the battery...activated by the stock switch of course.

the white wire on the piaa switch is what provides the power to the switch and triggers the relay. you will want to wire the red wire to the light green side and black to the White w/black stripe wire. of course verify first that it triggers the piaa relay wired that way. if the the white wire does not go to a switched power source, then you will want to use the red wire.

Thanks Blackened, do you know what the closest thing behind the switches to tap the white Switched Power wire into is?

Thanks again for your help!

I am assuming you are not going to use the stock switch at all. I have the 520s on my truck. will you please post a pic of the connector to the relay and it's wires coming from it that go to the switch. i don't know if it's exactly like mine. the way i see it, you are going to need to cut the wires at the switch connector junction and use those and a pigtail to wire it to one of the fog lamp socket harness.

I personally choose to do it this way so it's completely reverseable later and your not going to have to splice into the stock harness... basically making it a plug n play. it's the same concept HID kits use.
