where can i get the 1206 blue 2500mcd ones, bc urs turned out nicely.

500mcd is way bright enough... and I believe that the 2500mcd is just a scheme to sell the LEDs faster...

Do you have an SE? I know LEs and XLEs have PLCC-2... so most likely SE does too

I wish I had the resources to do this. I hate to pay some car shop to do it but sadly it looks like it's going that way because I want, no, I NEED the steering wheel and HVAC swapped! NEED IT!!!!!!! Anyone in Northern Cali or the Bay Area know how to do this? lol. F it, I'm moving to Maryland

i just discovered that for my 08 I4 LE, the leds in the steering wheel control are PLCC-2. I didnt know that so after i soldered the 1206 smd leds, it didnt work, so i went up here and checked out the PLCC-2 and voila, look the same like the one in my circuit board, so now i have 47 blue 1206 SMD leds that i dont need, anyone want to trade for some blue PLCC-2?

I took out the whole unit, but i still cant figure how to get inside to the leds.

I don't know how far along you are... if you can provide pics I can guide you... did you remove the faceplate?
