decided to change up the look of my truck with something different then the classic polished and black wheels. i matched the red to the trd logo on the bed side and it looks ok. i will try paint match the wheels the same blue as the truck next. believe it or not these tires ride good, there just loud as hell.

Is that a factory rear spoiler? Any pros and cons to having it on there? How much?

its the x-runner spoiler, the only thing I cant get is why he has an TRD Off-road with a spoiler.....not trying to be mean just want to know why. To each his own for sure just fill us in, thats all.

well the main reason i went with this look is b/c i didnt want a plain tacoma with a lift and alltreain tires like every other tacoma that somebody fixes up. everybody that wants to mod there tacoma allways puts a lift and tires on that all resemble each other. dont get me wrong i love that look its just a bigger better looking version of a stock truck and thats a good look. i just wanted to go with a more aggresive look thats all. the rear spoiler i like, but i did get it b/c it extends lower, closer the the tailgate handle. i need it to do this b/c my tailgate is f'ed up from loading a motorcycle. the metal is actually cracked and sagged in the middle. if you stepped in the middle of the tailgate it would bend so bad it would pop the rods off the handle inside the tailgate and you couldnt get the tailgate open without taking it apart. the truck went out of warrantee and they wont cover it even though i had them make a note about it befor the recall but they wont fix it now. o yea this spoiler adds quite a bit of strength/rigidity to the tailgate as well. you allmost cant tell the tailgate is still so messed up.............

It definitely is different. At least the wing is serving a dual purpose at the moment, probably cheaper than to replace and repaint a tailgate. I don't think there's anything wrong with the red in the wheel, at least it matches something on the truck. But I'm not sure of the wheel altogether. I'm trying to figure it out because of the offset/deep lip, design, or the fact that I think 20s are too big even for a Tacoma. As you mentioned though, you're not even sure of it and it doesn't look like every other Tacoma on the road.

you know thats funny, i havent had anybody that didnt like it on any other forum that i posted pic on. i figured a tacoma forum is where you would get the most critisism b/c everybody on here has a look that they like, i just figured everybody would be cool weather they liked it or not and not leave D-Bag comments, all previous posts have been left with some tact even if they didnt like it. its not my favorite either but i tried something non run of the mill like everything else. it wasnt a fail, just not for everyone...........

20X12s are awesome, thats just a really dumb looking wheel. you picked the wrong wheel thats all.
nice aggressive stance, but i'd would go with 18s with the same width. don't worry about the comments because to each is his own.

I made the same mistake of taking comments too personal, responding in kind and igniting a little flame war which was pretty unnecessary.

Well I'll say the stance of your Taco is pretty f-in tough. I like it a lot but I kinda don't like the red in the wheels. Seems a bit incongruous to me.
