ok guys I am thinking of buying a 2000 toyota tacoma, but I want to know if you could put a 3" lift and 32/11.5/15's on it. Also does anyone know if you can put flares on it if it didnt have any before? I have a pic of it below, but if anyone has lifted one similar to this please post a pic and what kind of lift/wheels/tires are on it.

I have a 2000 Tacoma Prerunner, Ya you can lift and do all that with it, Its just doesnt have the rear eletronic lockers nor the 6 lug configuration on the rims..

But since its the same year as mine, I know for a fact you can get a lift for it, and ya 32's are chill, You can fit 33's with a 3 inch lift.

What engine is the truck you are looking at running? Did you factor in the cost to have the ring and pinion replaced? You will be making a quite large jump in tires size and the truck will not be geared for it. Especially if it is runnign the 2.4 motor. Factor that in plus the lift and tires and you would probably be better off going with a prerunner.

It has a V6 3.4L, It already has 265/70/16's on it, so it wouldnt be to huge of a jump, My truck that I have right now had 265's on it and it has 285's now and I didnt have to replace anything in the engine. I am thinking of going for 32's instead of 285's on this one though, so they will be a little smaller.

Sorry, but I have to agree, spend a little more and get a PreRunner that already has the beefier running gear and engine and stance that you want. That is a nice price for a good looking low mileage truck though. I'm not calling you a liar, but I really doubt those tires in the pix are 265/70R16 because that's what my TRD 4x4 came with stock.

I take it the truck in question is not the one you included the picture of in your first post because those are most definately not 265/70/16 tires on it.

285/70-16 tires are basically a 32" tire. The actual nominal diameter would be around 31.7 inches. 265/70 -16s are about 30.5 inches.

I actually forgot to check to make sure they were 265's but that is what the guy told me, I was thinking they were small too, but thought it was just cause the truck was so close to the tire. I guess I should check that.

According to tireracks site it came with 195/75 or 215/70 14 inch tires on it. If the guy said they are 265s they could be a 265 in a lower aspect ratio like a 265 / 55 -14, 265/50-15 or even a 265/40-17. This would give you about the same diameter as the stock tire.
