Ihave some high compresion pistons for the 4afe. What engine haed should I change to to get a litte more compression. I've read about the 4age but which is it the 20v or the 16v engine head. And if theres anything else to change in this modification say it.

:Bruce:Or I'll ask Bruce the cat. He problably knows alot about 4afe:lol:

ya if you pistons are designed for the f-series head then use that head. as for swapping heads, im with Bitter.

im not sure which head would raise your compression, even if it would. you'd have to determine the clearance volume.

what compression are the pistons your going to be using? take into accoutn what fuel octanes are available to you, because youll have to run high octane unless you want alot of pinging.

if you want to raise your compression more, then get a thinner head gasket, and/or shave your head deck.

The compression changes from 9.5 to 10.5 or so..... The head should be the 16v 4age or the 20v 4age???? I read on toysport.com F engines tech notes. I think it is that the F series engines cant be messed with from within. Only the pistons can be changed. The cams cant be changed or messed with becuase it messes up the engine. Something to do with the RPM. Anyways read the info on this and comment or opinions about it. Thats what worries me.
