plug beside dash

when i open the glovebox on my 2005 prerunner, there is a white electrical connector just hanging toward the right hand side, not plugged into anything. It catches on the glovebox (near that damper) every time I open/close it. I didn't think to look at wire color. What is this plug for? I assume it's for an option I don't have but what option?
