I've been researching for a wideband unit to get after I get my URD MAF calibrator.. Got onto plx's website and looking around and came upon this alright seeming wideband unit..

wideband unit alone

I was thinking about getting this combo.. Just posting to see if any of you guys have this and would like to share any comments on it..

wideband unit + gauge combo ( I can pkg. deal for like 200$)

I mean it's not the best unit out there by any means but I believe it should get the job done since my engine ain't turbo/s.c just yet..Just seeing what everyone thought about it thanks..

Ya, Just got a decent deal from in there, the wideband was like 209 and they said I can have it for 156... Just not sure if I want to get a URD maf calibrator, intake, exhaust, and if it'll all be worth it or not...

Yea, I like Pb's motto or it seems to be anyways.. " go big or go home"

I like the DM-200 but i'd stick with the 100, they are the same but just a different size.. I hope all this is worth it, mpg wise and all.. Maybe I'll notice a 1-2 mpg increase with this unit on if I learn to tune the damn thing well lol..

Sorry for reviving a "dead-thread", but I'm contemplating the MAF and URD intake, and obviously would need a wideband set-up like this AFR. I currently have the factory Borla exhaust, and am not sure if I would need the Bosch o2 sensor, or if I would need a "bung" welded to the exhaust.

I am NEW to the MAF, wideband deal, and have been reading up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I really like my PLX gauge and wideband. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iIx11F-cco

The only way you might not have to weld a bung would be if you are running an Empire O2 simulator. I run the Empire O2 sim because I have Doug Thorley headers, which don't have cats. To make the Check Engine Light go away I installed the O2 sim, which lets me remove the stock O2 sensors from the front bungs. You could then install your wideband sensor into one of these unused bungs.

If you are using all of your stock O2 sensors then you will have to weld a bung into your Y-pipe.

Ok, so the Thorley headers I've been contemplating (which should work well with the stock Y-pipe and Borla Cat-back) should get pushed up on my list so that I may utilize an available bung...thanks for the input.

But, the PLX comes with and without the Bosch O2 sensor.

Which one are you using PB?

If you're getting the PLX SM-AFR wideband module than you'll need the Bosch wideband sensor. You have to have a wideband sensor installed in your exhaust system. There's no other way to do it. You can't use the stock O2 sensors or anything like that. They're not the same thing.
